Invisible Lingual Braces

A Discreet Treatment Option

Choose invisible lingual braces for a very discreet treatment option. Invisible Lingual braces in Loughborough created by 3M Incognito consist of wires attached to custom-made gold plates, which apply pressure to the back surfaces of your teeth, rather than the front. This makes these invisible braces a lot more discreet than others, as they are fixed braces behind the teeth.

If you’re worried about feeling self-conscious when you have orthodontic treatment, invisible lingual braces in Loughborough could well be the answer. These braces are suitable for all age groups and achieve very precise teeth straightening results. Here at Loughborough Orthodontics and Implant Clinic, we use the leading Incognito brand.

Lingual braces work similarly to and use the same components as traditional metal braces, but they’re fixed to the back of the teeth, so they are invisible for the most part.

The treatment time will vary according to each individual. If you’re simply having your front teeth straightened, the treatment time will be shorter.

Your lingual braces may need tightening or adjusting every six to eight weeks.

It’s unlikely that these Loughborough braces will effect your speech, but if you find that the braces do interfere with your speech, you should only be affected for a couple of weeks, until you get used to them.

You might experience some discomfort in your mouth directly after having had them fitted, but if you follow the instructions provided by your orthodontist when you begin teeth straightening in Loughborough, you’ll soon get used to them.

As your lingual braces are fixed, you should stay away from hard, crunchy or chewy foods such as nuts, sweets and carrots. This is to try and minimise the risk of any damage to the braces.
